I joined the Wythe Lab in the spring of 2025 as a first-year student at the University of Virginia where I intend to major in biology. My interest in research stemmed from an independent research project in high school where I saw how the pursuit of answers often led to further questions, a cycle that resonated with my curiosity for understanding biological processes. I am especially interested in research regarding the genetic causes and molecular mechanisms of diseases, as well as research with clinical implications. At the Wythe Lab, I'm excited to learn about all facets of the research process and to explore more in the areas of cell biology and genetics. By assisting with projects and conducting my own in the future, I hope to work towards my goal of pursuing a career in research. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, baking, playing volleyball, and collecting funky socks.
