Williamson D. Turner, B.S.

Williamson joined the Wythe lab in the summer of 2019 as a graduate student from the Translational Biology and Molecular Medicine program at Baylor College of Medicine. He received his bachelor of science in biology and a minor in chemistry in 2018 from Xavier University of Lousianna.

Prior to matriculating to BCM in the fall of 2018, Williamson interned during the summer of 2016 at BCM in the lab of Dolores J. Lamb, working on prostate cancer, through the SMART program, and again returned to BCM through the SMART program in the summer of 2017 to work with Nancy Weigel to also work on hormones and prostate cancer.

Williamson's Grants: 5T32GM088129-09

Despite publishing success in the lab, Williamson felt his talents were better suited to pursuing science careers away from the bench, and he decided to leave the TBMM graduate program. Since that time he has been a vital member of the IACUC regulatory group at BCM.
